Why is no one talking about Devon Wilson in this new age of true crime documentaries and holding celebrities accountable for their past misdeeds? Its interesting that in the 2020’s there still hasn’t been an evolution in regards to the concern for a “black” woman dying under suspicious circumstances. In her story we have a woman murdered, kidnapped and little effort is put into finding the culprit or identifying the circumstances of death. There are many women this happens to and we will investigate individually each case. Our first case is Devon Wilson, It is said that she was a muse to rock royalty like Jimi Hendrix, Mick Jagger, Arthur Lee, and Miles Davis. Not just any SuperGroupie, but the Original. There are many claims as to how she met her demise one fateful day months after her love Jimi Hendrix passed in February 1970, a vaguely patrician, a vivid mysterious aura, then other news supervened. She was never claimed, recognized, her history and existence just faded in the wind. One allegation is that she fell from the 7th floor of the Chelsea Motel, with a needle in her arm. Another is that she like, Jimi was punitively ‘eliminated” for failing to ‘hook’ Hendrix on Heroin, thus depriving their (mob, CIA, etc) coffers of yet another lucrative financial source.
According to Betty Davis(Mabry), Devon Wilson a beautiful talented young woman, came to the jungle with big dreams of being a big fish in a tiny aquarium, only to end up a tragic victim of the entertainment industry. While in New York she became involved in prostitution, met Jimi Hendrix while he was on the Chitlin Circuit in the rhythm section of Little Richards band The Upsetters. Devon in her own words stated “Jimi was the most humble and quiet man, he was most happy playing the guitar, his humbleness was used against him by greedy people, because people knew he liked to trip they would slip things in his drinks without him knowing it. When I came on the scene, everyone knew I was responsible for Jimis highs, and any type of sexual experience he wanted, however people would wait until I wasn’t around to talk Jimi into things, that he would have a difficult time with later”.
